Lance honors America's folk culture via originals faithful to its diverse musical stylings, ones that ingratiate with homespun warmth. As the Vermont native is also a writer and educator, the proceedings are distinguished by literate dash. Many guests contributed to this venture, but especial salute is due prodigious guitarist Ted Mortimer; he executed felicitous soloing in numerous fashions, and even co-wrote with titular principal Lance.
