Having emerged victorious from a lengthy battle with their former record-label head (a morally execrable miscreant about whom no more should ever be said), Brainiax regained publishing and streaming control of this 2019 disc. They've now reissued it, so we can forget past unpleasantness and consider its merits. Those are many. Arrangements are sleek, boasting potency and attention-seizing purposefulness. Grim topics lyrically explored may be common to Psychobilly, but their potential for horror movie-type diversion is well realized. The dynamism that so charges the group's live performances animates these studio tracks.
