Whiskey Daredevils

Good Times

(Self-issued)

So seemingly ubiquitous is corporate assembly-line pop product that real music made by human beings unassisted by mechanical stuntery is today rare. Breathing manifestations of authenticity are to be hailed as salvatory, given that what befouls red carpets illustrates the dispiriting condition of modern music. In the swaggering Whiskey Daredevils' thoroughly countrified. Punk-exacerbated presentations roars flesh-and-blood vivacity far beyond any feigned by interchangeable celebrities who would be lost without autotune. (The CD version offers 13 tracks, while 10 appear on vinyl.) The group is composed of players of actual talents. They offer vibrant stormings, reminding that man will always triumph over machine. Ask John Henry.
