Destination Health - Doc Feelgood's Rock Therapy
(Vreemde Opties / Bear Family)
No one back then believed they were creating something future generations of wax hoarders and niche radio hosts would enshrine. Men were just trying to get paid and get kicks in the process. The musics they raised up in one-lunged recording operations answered to various names: Blues, Hillbilly, Jazz -- even roll-back-rug jive mongrels that shuffled all. Many rocked. Others were done for laughs in what came to be called novelties. Regardless of originators' intent, recordings ended up being pretty damn special.
Bear Family issued this as a CD in 2020. Vreemde Opties now offers it digitally.
