Back In the Day, 1995

Mark Harman

This 'N' That   vinyl and CD formats

(Vinyl Japan/Jappin-N-Rockin)

This stands tall in 2024, having rollicked through the test of time with flags aloft. Familiar, much-loved changes and gestures are in the majority. But they are vibrant with evergreen animation. As Mark's writing and guitar/piano efforts were bolstered by Restless mates Paul Harman and Rob Tyler, the rousing affair delights. This reviewer found each selection mertitorious of recommendation; 88s-romping good-time outings and heart-tugging belly rubs are judiciously intercut and unspool irresistably. Mark's adroitness with instruments strung and keyed bears remark, and his vocal prowess is such that no note seems too lofty for his grasp.

Recommended: "Lady Rock'n'Roll," "Thank You Baby," "Dungarees," "You and I," "You Got Your Daddy On the Run," "You Give Me Heartache," "You Can't Buy Me," "I Guess By Now You Know," "This 'n' That," "Hold On," "You'll Be In My Arms Again," "For the Very Last Time"
