Back in the Day, 1999

Danny Dean & the Homewreckers

Move It...

(Delirium)

Highly polished panache with crazy-legged verve in abundance. The swanky, suit-and-tie rockin' popularized by Bill Haley and Freddie Bell still vivifies gymnastic dance couples. Danny can easily be counted among select vocalists whose technical capabilities mark them as exceptional. A singer of boundless scope (punch into "Take Me Back Again"), he is an artist while some others are mere craftsmen.

Doghouse wrangler Gavin Jones and erstwhile Sinatra sax-player Bob Crail are but two top-drawer talents on swing parade. Also sitting in are Chris Wakula (lead guitar) and Callum Benepe on drums. Classy in straight-out-of-fridge manner, they re-imagine Cliff Richard, Marty Wilde, The Cure, and Adam Ant, in addition to deploying knockout originals.

(Reissued in 2007 by New Underground.)
