Twisted Rod

One In a Million

(Rhythm Bomb Records)

It's always dubious whether a spectacular live act can transfer that energy to studio wax. This writer is pleased to report that Twisted Rod have accomplished as much. Their approach to trio rockabilly is a bluff telling of rhythms wonderful. What Paul Burlison used to call "Good-time music."

Recommended: "The Place Was Jumpin'," "Rainy Days," "Wait A Minute Honey," "Come On," "I Wanna Bop," "Love Is My Business," "My Pretty Baby"
