Teen-Age Riot! vinyl and digital
(Atomic Passion/Vreemde Opties Records)
Switchblades, swiping hubcaps, and jukebox jive are dug in this burg where the kids aren't alright. The Teen Age Riot platter was first issued in 1988 by Atomic Passion, and reissued by that label in 2023/24. On Bandcamp, Belgian operation Vreemde Opties offers a digital version. 1950's greasy Rock'n'Roll makes for a bellicose soundtrack upon which are sneered reckless-youth declarations. Interspersed between knuckle-cracking, collars-up anthems are dialogue scraps from Ike-era drive-in sensations like Live Fast, Die Young, High School Caesar, and Shanty Tramp.
"Nothing's against anything, 'til you're caught!"
