No, swerving, drawled harmonica isn't common to psychobilly. Perhaps that's partly why it succeeds admirably and locates Thee Scarecrows far afield from more orthodox, guitar-grinding psycho.
Sure, that's present in abundance. So are pounded-out rhythms and gravelly yowls.
But dug up and tossed freely is a raging psycho hulk stitched liberally from the hillbilly and blues musics that mattered decades before angry kids took razors to their skulls.
