The phenomenon of a drummerlesss roots trio (acoustic guitar, electric, and upright) recalls the moment just prior to rockabilly's Sunrise, when accellerated rhythms were beginning to impact downhome playing. The orthodox country feel is inherent in these tunes, but something greater and more lively is percolating beneath the surface.
