Sex Pistols

The Original Recordings

(UMe)

Their gutter-snipe comportment was calculated and opprobrium-attracting, but of infinitely more significance was the pugnacious thrust of their rock 'n' roll. Like the Ramones who'd preceded them, they helped destroy the overproduced and overindulgent rock product of the day. Or, at least, hip listeners to the fiction of its hegemony.

Recommended: "God Save the Queen," "No Feelings," "I Wanna Be Me," "Anarchy In the UK," "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone," "Lonely Boy," "Silly Thing," "Did You No Wrong"
