Ledfoot

Coffin Nails

(self-issued)

Erstwhile Rockat / Havelina Tim Scott McConnell (aka Ledfoot) terms this one-man acoustic-guitar platter "Gothic Blues," and that appellation suits. Factor in psycho storytelling imprint, with all the starkness and immediacy the phrase implies.

An oppressively crepuscular ambiance shrouds the material, though without obfuscating verisimilitude.

On Bandcamp, Tim notes: "This record was recorded and mixed in two days...live...straight to tape...no edits, no punching in...just me...honest for better or worse...honesty...what a precious thing."

His flabbergasting picking skill warrants esteem; it advances placidly and neatly complements his rough-hewn, confessional vocals.

Recommended: "Perdition," "Coffin Nails," "I've Never Been," "Better Than Bad," "The Day I Died," "House Of Restitution," "Escape," "Runnin' 'Til I'm Done," "Look What I've Done To Me," "How I End My Day"
