Southern Culture On the Skids

Liquored Up and Lacquered Down reissue

(Kudzu)

Kick back on the porch, take a pull on a jug, and tip your hat to the muse that, beginning with this 2000 wax, inspired electrified hillbilly hoedowns. No putting on airs - these are just home folks raising up dust clouds. This 2023 reissue captures the joyful unpretentiousness that has made SCOTS popular the globe over.

Recommended: "Liquored Up and Lacquered Down" "Hittin' On Nothing," "Corn Liquor," "Drunk and Lonesome (Again)," "Cheap Motels," "Just How Lonely," "I Learned To Dance In Mississippi," "King Of the Mountain," "The Corn Rocket" (Four bonus tracks were not available for review)
