Now emanating from the same wig-flipped garage that offered up NYC thrill-wretches the Cramps are UK ministers of groove, bent on twisting innocent musical notes to their own rave-up purposes. It's as if the go-go discoteque 1960s had crashed through some darkened-castle, funhouse mirror. Organ sweeps imbue guitar-flamed flights with eerie substance. Here somersaults dynamism.
