Colin Hicks

Colin's place in Larry Parnes' early '60s English star stable surely owed to propinquity -- his brother was Tommy Steele, one of Parnes' mainstays (others being Billy Fury and Marty Wilde). Colin's easygoing manner and way with merry scales were just right for the moment. Would only that giftedness were the exclusive guarantor of fame.
