Tanpa Kelas

Dibungkam   EP

(SoundPOV)

Bassist Feri made clear the group's social egalitarianism in a 2024 interview with Tribun Kaltim "We don't want to pigeonhole anyone. Because, in essence, everyone is the same and equal. So, there are no classes, like the rich and the poor, because everyone is the same."

That open outlook -- and eminently run-and-shout-along songs with surplus sinew -- make for jet-forward Punk angry only at deserving foes.

Recommended: "Di Bungkam," "Iblis dan malaikat," "Jackpot," "Rusak"

Suntroub

Manusia

(SoundPOV)

The throttle-wide-open members of Indonesia's Suntroub (Sunday's Troublerer) hurl angry chunks of existentialist whatsis -- at least, that's what I surmise, hindered as I am by a language divide. This much, though, can be confidently asserted: Unplugging the disc player won't prevent hardcore justice's absolutely pulverizing oblongs fleeing toward horizon.

Recommended: "Gepok Kenthes," "Manusia," "Stop Fighter," "Sunday's Troublerer," "Tipuan Palsu," "For the Punxs"

Kebunku

Harmonic Pop-Punk "Dia" shimmers, but exposes teeth via Oi! shouts. "Hey" favors storm clouds over sunbeams. Both owe much to group members' passions.

The Battlebeats

Meet Your Maker

(Sweet Time Records)

Maximium Rock'n'Roll wrote that Andresa Nugraha sired this Indonesian Garage-Punk project in 2019. Today, the man played all instruments on Meet Your Maker. (He apparently retains touring players - they recently aimed flamethrowers at Tokyo.) Such is the breakneck frenzy and string ravages that comparisons have been drawn to Guitar Wolf and Teengenerate. All but leaps from packaging.

Recommended: "R'N'R All Night Long," "Don't Talk To Me," "Dressed To Kill," "Meet Your Maker," "The Anaxiphiliac," "Wicked City," "You Wanna Be Me," "Born To Lose," "You Ain't Better Than Me"
