Johnny Thunders
From the Beginning To the End
(Cleopatra)

"Too fast to live, too young to die," read one of the incomparable stylist's tattoos. Sadly, the firsr half of that motto proved prophetic. But he influenced legions both musically and fashion-wise. Johnny's trademark corkscrew turnarounds and up-neck swipes were as identifiable in the punk idiom as Johnny Ramones's choppy  downstrokes. A legend in his own time. 3-disc box set.

Recommended: "That's Poison," "Take Me To Your Party," "Pipeline," "(I'm Not) Your Stepping Stone," ''Great Big Kiss," "Endless Party," "Pills," "(I'm Your) Hoochie Coochie Man," "Dissappointed In You," "Glory Glory," "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory," "Crime Of the Century"
