Jake Calypso

Rare Jake 1983 - 2023 Volume One

(Self-issued)

Jake is so at one with the plain-tooled rockabilly of the style's progenitors as to seem anachronistic. Which is hardly a negative. His exertions over the decades made clear the evergreen potency of the squalling issue Country and Blues engendered. As do his continuing exploits.

Compiled here are demos, unreleased materials, and other collectible tracks that span years of his studio activity.

Recommended: "Babe, Babe, Baby," "My Baby Runs Away," "Hard Love Ways," "She Is My Liza Liz," "Pink Peg Slacks," "Long Black Boots," "Love My Baby," "Let's All get Wild"
