One might expect a Misfits cover to bear resemblance to the source. But while this does replicate the original's lunatic essence and tension, it is otherwise idiosyncratic -- a Psychobilly / mariachi hybrid. The song has been altered from ripsaw offensive to a more layered arrangement. Featured are assertive trumpets; they lend coloration and bolster impact. The narrative remains unsettling, clad now in offbeat raiment.
This single was issued in 2018. The same year, Hola Ghost released "Fight" (a Lemmy tribute) and the somber instrumental "Funeral March."
Danish singer / guitarist Peter Sandoff leads these 'Copenhagen Gringos.' As his resume includes Nekromantix and Mad Sin, storm doesn't surprise.
Hola Ghost maintains a busy live schedule and recently electrified Hamburg devotees. One hopes the near future will bring fresh recordings from them.
