Well known is that Rezurex leader Daniel deLeon is a consummate writer; his compositions for those have-a-go firemongers are startling and impactful.
"All my music I write begins with acoustic versions before submitting it to the full band" he explained on his Bandcamp page.
Given that, it is unsurprising that this solo acoustic-led work bespeaks naturalness. Strummed resonance lends appropriate expansiveness to pensive movements.
Daniel judiciously keeps paces measured, that he can best articulate gravity. Indeed, the lyricist gives loosed rein to his poetic impulse. Listeners will find much weightiness to ponder.
While the Rezurex figurehead has wrought a meditative work that maintains motion, he did not darken the studio doorstep, alone. At his elbow were adroit accomplices whose number included Rezurex / Tiger Army alumni Jeff Roffredo and James Meza, as well as guitarist Rene D La Muerte, of the Brains.
Together with Daniel, they flourish.
