Norm & the Nightmarez

Sinister Tales

(Normal Records)

"They blasted him with Gamma Rays, and now he's gone insane," declares Norm in "RadioActive Man." Sundry horror and sci fi B-movie references are scattered like witty pop-culture shards thoughout. And they make for apt complement to vivid musical tableaus. The effectively thin instrumentation projects glare on the startling subject matter.

Recommended: "Dr. Phibes," "The RadioActive Man," "Like No Other Night Before," "Rise Of the Mothmen," "Psychobilly Pensioners From Outer Space," "Future Shock," "Phantom Zone - The Thing"
