As invigoratingly defiant as rebellion with the cause of Oi! sounds on record, total immersion in the animal comes only for those launching themselves into the snarling, participatory beast; everywhere, bodies fly, tumble, and sprawl, all to tunes blasted by mohawked warriors. L.A.'s Dogface Bastards urge on circle-dance mayhem in wee hours.
None of the foregoing was meant to dissuade disc purchasers. To the contrary, subjecting eardrums to the raucousness the Dogfaced ones shovel so violently is a fine first step toward the maelstrom.
