A quote attributed to Johnny Ramone: "The quicker you get used to playing in front of people, the better. If you wait until you're 'good enough,' you'll never be good enough." How much coarseness and rudimentary playing here is natural, and how much intentional, is an open query. (Members of this '60s kicks fandango populated schizzing razor outfits like Gnats and Greasy Bitches; some degree of been-there done-that, then, surely applies.) Absence of polish, and eager freshness that isn't above neverminding occasional slapdash miscalculations, are charms not offered by prodigious instrumentalists.
