Never having witnessed James demolish stages, I'm nonetheless certain innumerable orange-and-blue sparks ricochet from his Tele in all kinds of frantic directions -- so alarming are the masterful attacks the man rips screaming with joy from the Blues bible. Classics well-covered always enjoy welcome. Players at his elbow are of first-order rank (and include Mr. Geraint Watkins), turning on dimes as miles flash past. And the casualness with which James tosses off lyrics? Why, that only attests to his natural-born fluency.
