My understanding is that medical personnel are on standby, poised to attend to listeners mysteriously unmoved by the spectacular Soul and R&B stylings that cut all kinds of loose on the floor. (Their acrobatics are lent piquancy by a brace of stormy brass.) Eli has proved his mettle umpty-hundred times, in a decade's worth of wax. As if his adeptitude -- whether emoting rivetingly at mic or massaging gritty gloriosities from a guitar that's apparently seen many-a midnight -- weren't sufficient to prompt wallet-crackings, Zaniah cameoed, and living legend Swamp Dogg not only ensured audio passageways were kept free of clutter, but participated in the sparkle.
