the Vibrators

Young Lust - the 1976 Demos

(Cleopatra)

Preserved for the ages are snapshots depicting England's Vibrators in the evolutionary process that turned them from common pub-rockers to late '70s Punk luminaries. Several songs are interesting merely as artifacts. More magnetic are ones that later graced their 1977 debut LP,
Pure Mania (Epic). Those portray a band already evincing the clever songcraft and vibrancy that was to earn them renown amongst spiky-haired pogoers.

Recommended: "Dance To the Music," "She's Always Bringing You Down," "Ready Steady Go," "Bad Time," "No Heart"

Video: "She's Bringing You Down" (BBC 1977)
